I am inquiring to see if I would be eligible for EI.
I currently work in the financial district of Toronto, however I have moved up north about 2 hours drive.
Please advise if eligibility is also based on distance of residence from place of employment.

May I please ask.
I am a hard work person and also because my wife is unwell unable to work without any finical supplement, I have been working 16 hours a day.
I work two full time jobs in two different companies.
8 hours in the day and 8 hours overnight.
The company decided to close down the night shift at the every last day last minute thus now I am down to only one full time job.
I wish to know if I can apply for EI until I can find myself another night shift as I do need two income to maintain my family.
Also Both my work did contribute EI and CPP deduction.
Can you please kindly let me know?

My daughter will be out of the country from September 2016 u til June 2017.
The Permanent Residency card will expire in May 2017.
Please advise, do we renew early before she leaves for overseas or will it be okay to renew as normal in 2017 |

He then fired me giving no reason and has refused to pay me for the 3 days.
